The 21 km course follows the Barwon River and runs along the Red Carpet trail to Lake Elizabeth, featuring technical single track, tight turns, downhill sections and a circuit finish at the race village. The 10 km course starts and finishes at the race village with a turnaround at the top of the Red Carpet. The 6 km and Kids 6 km courses use the first half of the 10 km route, running along the Barwon River, Fernery Trail, across the top of the West Barwon Dam and returning to the village.

There are three water stations serving the 21 km course at approximately 5.5 km, 8 km (Lake Elizabeth carpark), and 16 km. Water stations are not available for the 6 km or Kids races, so those participants must carry their own water. The 21 km course includes three road crossings that are manned for a limited time; after that time runners must stop and give way to traffic. An adult must accompany children under eight years in the Kids 6 km. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
