Run Forrest Trail Run takes place in Forrest, Victoria, on Saturday 6 June 2026. The event is based at a race village on the banks of the Barwon River, with access from Hennigan Crescent and no parking at the village. Race day registration requires participants to collect their race bib and sign in at the registration tent. A race briefing is mandatory for all participants. Children under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult in the kids event. Number plates/bibs are issued on the day and are not posted prior to the race.

The 21 km course follows the Barwon River and the Red Carpet trail to Lake Elizabeth, then around fern banks and back to the race village as a circuit. The 10 km course uses the same start and includes a turnaround at the top of the Red Carpet. The 6 km and kids courses use the first half of the 10 km route, passing the Fernery Trail and the top of the West Barwon Dam before returning to the village. There are three water stations on the longer courses (at about 5.5 km, 8 km at Lake Elizabeth carpark, and 16 km); water stations are not available for 6 km or kids entrants, who must carry their own water.
