Run for Good News 5K Run/Walk and Salute to the Military

The event is scheduled for November 14, 2026 at 2026 Woodlawn Rd., Greenwood, South Carolina. It benefits the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship Lakelands District and its Good News Clubs.

The course is an off road 5K that runs through the woods around Greenwood Christian School. The setting is described as an off road route that follows trails around the school property.

The race will include a salute to military members in conjunction with the 250th birthday of America. A trophy will be awarded to the branch of the military with the quickest 5K time.

Prize structure is specified for overall and age groups. The overall first place male and female winners receive $200, while winners under 18 receive the equivalent of $200 in merchandise to maintain NCAA standards. The top male and female in the over 50 category receive $100 each. Top finishers in each age category receive a medal.
