Ripon Round Ultra and Relay

Ripon Round Ultra and Relay is a 35-mile circular event based at Studley Roger Village Hall in North Yorkshire. The event accepts individual runners and relay teams, with a minimum age of 20 for solo participants and 17 for relay participants. Entries open 3 February 2026 and close 13 September 2026.

The course follows the northern section of the Ripon Rowel and passes through trail, woodland and moorland within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route finishes with a downhill run through Studley Royal deer park back into Studley Roger. Relay teams consist of multiple runners covering the course in stages.

Race headquarters at Studley Roger Village Hall will provide refreshments, hot food and toilet facilities. The route includes four staffed checkpoints supplying water, savouries, sweets and cake, with additional water stations added depending on weather. Toilet facilities are available at checkpoint 3, around 19 miles. Cut off times operate at checkpoints and the event enforces an overall time limit of 10 hours.

All full course finishers receive a T-shirt. Relay team members also receive T-shirts. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers, age category winners, and to the fastest relay team. A team trophy is awarded to a five person team with at least one female where all members are from the same club and complete the full course.
