Ripon Round Ultra and Relay : event overview

The Ripon Round Ultra and Relay is a 35 miles circular event based at Studley Roger Village Hall in North Yorkshire. The course follows the northern section of the Ripon Rowel and passes through trail, woodland and moorland within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route finishes with a downhill section through Studley Royal deer park back into Studley Roger.

The event offers individual solo entries and relay teams. Race headquarters at Studley Roger Village Hall provides refreshments, hot food and toilet facilities. The route features four staffed checkpoints offering water, savouries, sweets and cake; additional water stations may be provided depending on the weather. Toilet facilities are available at Checkpoint 3 (approximately 19 miles). Paper cups will not be provided at checkpoints.

Finishers of the full course receive a T-shirt. Relay team members also receive a T-shirt. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers, to age-category winners, and to the fastest relay team. A team trophy is presented to a club team of five runners (at least one female) with the lowest cumulative time, provided all team members complete the full course individually.
