Round Ripon Ultra

The Round Ripon Ultra is a 35 miles circular trail event that starts and finishes in Studley Roger, North Yorkshire. The undulating route follows the northern section of the Ripon Rowel and crosses trail, woodland and moorland within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The course finishes with a downhill run through Studley Royal deer park back into Studley Roger.

Race headquarters are in Studley Roger Village Hall, where free tea and coffee and toilet facilities are provided. The route has four staffed checkpoints with water, sweets and cake, additional savouries and extra water stations; a toilet is available at CP3 (around 19 miles). The event has a 10 hour time limit and progressive checkpoint cut offs. The field is limited to 200 entries. Minimum ages are 20 years for individual runners and 17 years for relay runners.

Entry fees are stated for affiliated and unaffiliated solo and relay entries. Relay teams comprise five people; competitors may run multiple legs. Competitors should carry required kit for conditions, including waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, emergency food, water and a fully charged mobile phone with the race director’s number. The race is run under UKA rules and holds a Trail Running Association licence. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
