Rogue Gorge
Rogue Gorge is a two-day trail running event on October 17 and 18, 2026, held along the Upper Rogue River in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest near Union Creek, Oregon. The weekend features both point-to-point and loop-format trail races that run along the Rogue Gorge Trail and the Upper Rogue River Trail, a National Recreation Trail.
Distances offered:
- 50 Miler point-to-point along singletrack beside the river
- 50K point-to-point on the Upper Rogue River Trail
- Half Marathon lollipop loop trail run
- 12K lollipop loop trail run
The course follows singletrack through old growth forest and river canyons, with sections that pass basalt lava formations, collapsed lava tubes, waterfalls, and shaded river corridor. The event staging and many services are centered at the Union Creek Day Use Picnic Shelter and nearby campground. Local lodging is available at Union Creek Resort and in the nearby town of Prospect. Union Creek Campground provides reservable sites, drinking water and vault toilets; large RVs and long trailers are discouraged.
Event services included with registration cover course marking, aid stations, medical support, timing and results, and custom finisher awards. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Siskiyou Mountain Club. Volunteer trail stewardship and a youth initiative associated with the 12K are part of the event program.
