Event overview
The Rocky 50, by USWE Trail Race takes place on February 14, 2026 at Huntsville State Park (Raven Lodge area), Huntsville, Texas. The event includes these distances:
- 50 mile
- 50K
- 13.1 mile (half marathon)
- Youth 1 mile (ages 1–12)
There is a participant cap due to limited space in the park. Packet pickup, drop bag dropoffs, and race activities are all located at the Raven Lodge/start-finish area.
Course and race logistics
The course uses the Huntsville State Park trail system and starts at the edge of Lake Raven. Routes include multiple loops: the 50 mile is three 16.7-mile loops, the 50K uses a 14.6-mile first lap plus a 16.7-mile lap, and the half marathon is a single 13.1-mile modified lap. A single full lap has about 900 feet of elevation gain and about 900 feet of descent. Trail features include exposed tree roots, pine needles, bridges, and lake-side sections.
The race is chip timed with ankle-mounted chips that must be worn and returned if a runner leaves the course. Course markings include arrows, caution tape, and confidence markers; signs at intersections indicate distance-specific turns. Aid station support is provided along the route; the Bridge aid station is primarily for half marathon runners and should not be relied on for longer distances. Drop bag delivery to the Dam Nation aid station is offered for 50-mile and 50K entrants only and must be left at Raven Lodge during packet pickup on Friday; Raven-area drop bags are first-come and not monitored. Pacers are permitted under race rules and must complete pacer registration and follow station requirements. The event is cupless and follows Leave No Trace principles.
