Rocky 50 Trail Race

The Rocky 50, by USWE Trail Race takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Huntsville State Park (Raven Lodge), 565 Park Road 40 W, Huntsville, TX 77340. The event has a participant cap and the organizer notes the race often sells out. Distances offered include:

Course, aid and logistics

The course begins at the edge of Lake Raven and uses multiple loops through Huntsville State Park. Route formats:

• 50 mile = 3 x 16.7 mile loops
• 50K = 1 x 14.6 mile short lap, then 1 x 16.7 mile full lap
• 13.1 mile = 1 modified 13.1 mile lap

Terrain includes rolling trails, many exposed tree roots, pine needle ground cover, bridges, and lake shoreline. Expect roughly 1,250 feet of elevation gain and equal loss per full lap. The course is marked with orange caution tape, yellow arrows, and numerous confidence markers; reflective markers are used for hours of darkness. Full aid station support is provided, but races are cupless so participants should bring their own cup or bottle; collapsible cups are available for purchase at packet pickup. Chip timing uses ankle-mounted chips that must be returned if a participant leaves the race. Awards include Top 3 male, Top 3 female, and Top Masters (50 and older).
