About the race
The Rockin Choccolocco event is the 14th annual trail race held in Heflin, Alabama, centered on Cahulga Creek Park at 343 Mountain St. Races run on the Pinhoti Trail and nearby forest roads inside the Talladega National Forest and feature single-track trail, scenic overlooks, creek crossings, lakes, and hardwood and pine stands.

The 50K is a point to point course that begins near Greenleaf Dam on FS 532 and finishes at Cahulga Creek Park, with about 95% single-track trail and the final two miles on the Heflin Spur. The 25K is a lollipop course that starts and finishes at Cahulga Creek Park and includes sections on the Heflin Spur, Shoal Creek Trailhead, and Pinhoti Trail to High Rock. The 10K is an out and back from Cahulga Creek Park onto the Heflin Spur and a short section of the Pinhoti Trail.
Time limits are published for each distance: 50K 9 hours 30 minutes, 25K 6 hours, and 10K 4 hours. Aid stations and mile markers are provided on each course. Packet pickup is at Cahulga Creek Park. Bus transportation is available from Cahulga Creek Park to the 50K start for a fee. Restrooms are available at start and finish. Primitive camping at Cahulga Creek Park is allowed for a donation.
