The 50K runs primarily on the Pinhoti Trail and connects to the Heflin Spur for the final two miles. The course begins near Greenleaf Dam (FS 532) and finishes at Cahulga Creek Park. Terrain includes scenic overlooks, creek crossings, lakes, hardwood and pine forests, and about 95% single-track through the Talladega National Forest.

The 25K follows the Heflin Spur north to Shoal Creek Trailhead, then the Pinhoti Trail to High Rock, with sections on forest service roads before returning to Cahulga Creek Park. The 10K is an out-and-back along the Heflin Spur and short Pinhoti Trail section.

Time limits are published for each race: 50K 9 hours 30 minutes, 25K 6 hours, and 10K 4 hours. Packet pickup is scheduled at Cahulga Creek Park the day before the races. Bus transport from Cahulga Creek Park to the 50K start is available for a fee. Restrooms are available at start/finish areas and aid stations are placed along the courses.
