Courses and logistics

The 50K is a point-to-point trail mostly on single-track Pinhoti Trail, finishing at Cahulga Creek Park after connecting to the Heflin Spur for the final section. The 25K is a lollipop route starting and finishing at Cahulga Creek Park and uses the Heflin Spur, Shoal Creek Trailhead, and Pinhoti Trail. The 10K is an out-and-back from Cahulga Creek Park onto the Heflin Spur and Pinhoti Trail.

Aid stations are listed along each course with locations and a water-only point on some segments. Packet pickup is available at Cahulga Creek Park the day before the race and at start-area locations on race morning. Bus transportation from Cahulga Creek Park to the 50K start is offered for a fee. Restrooms are available at start/finish; primitive camping is possible at Cahulga Creek Park for a small donation. Strollers, animals, bicycles, and unentered runners are not allowed on course. Tackle the Mount Cheaha 50K, a point to point trail ultramarathon finishing atop Cheaha Mountain with sweeping overlooks. Run mostly single track through waterfalls, creeks and hardwood forests on the scenic Pinhoti and Skyway trails.

Take on rugged Southern trails with 100 or 200 mile ultramarathons across Georgia and Alabama from March 18 to 22, 2026. Expect remote terrain, mandatory navigation gear and a gender specific technical shirt included.

Run Chief Ladiga in Jacksonville, Alabama on April 11, 2026 with 100 miles, 50 miles, 50K or a half marathon on scenic paved trail and well spaced aid stations. All entrants get a shirt and finishers receive a buckle or medal.

Run under the stars at In the Heat of the Night, a night trail on Talladega Forest roads near the Pinhoti Trail. Expect stocked aid stations, warm food, and handmade finisher amulets.
