Courses and race logistics

The 50K is a point-to-point course on the Pinhoti Trail, connecting to the Heflin Spur for the final section, starting near Greenleaf Dam (FS 532) and finishing at Cahulga Creek Park. About 95% of the 50K is single-track through Talladega National Forest with scenic overlooks, creek crossings, lakes, and hardwood and pine forests. The 25K is a lollipop course that starts and finishes at Cahulga Creek Park, runs north on the Heflin Spur to Shoal Creek Trailhead, follows the Pinhoti to High Rock, then returns via forest service roads. The 10K is an out-and-back from Cahulga Creek Park via the Heflin Spur and Shoal Creek Trailhead.

Packet pickup is available the day before at Cahulga Creek Park and on race morning at the start locations. Bus transportation to the 50K start is available for a fee. Restrooms are available at start/finish areas. Camping is available at Cahulga Creek Park for a small donation; no showers.
