Rock 'N Reef Trail Run - Bowen, 28 June 2026

Rock 'N Reef Trail Run is an event in the Outer Limits Trail Run Series held in Bowen, Queensland. The Event HQ is at Case Park on Horseshoe Bay Road. The race is set in the Cape Edgecumbe Heights Recreation Reserve and features coastal views, beaches and rocky headlands. The organisers acknowledge the Juru people as Traditional Owners of the land.

Registration opens 1 December 2025 and closes 27 June 2026 (or earlier if sold out). Sign-in and bib collection are required at Event HQ before racing. Parking inside Case Park may be limited; additional parking is available along Horseshoe Bay Road.

Courses, entries and rules

Available distances:

• 6 km - Early Bird $38; General $43; Late $53
• 10 km - Early Bird $48; General $53; Late $63
• 18 km - Early Bird $53; General $58; Late $68

The courses are marked with tape, signs and marshals. Trails include uneven surfaces, rocks, soft sand, stair sections, steep climbs and fast descents. The 10 km and 18 km routes include sections of coasteering along headlands. Mandatory gear for the 10 km and 18 km events includes two compression bandages, a fully charged waterproof phone, a whistle and a space blanket. Cut-off times for the 10 km and 18 km courses are to be confirmed. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets, a food and coffee cart and post-race refreshments.
