Rock ‘N Reef Trail Run (Bowen)
Rock ‘N Reef Trail Run is the fourth event in the Outer Limits Trail Run Series held in Bowen at Case Park on Horseshoe Bay Road. The event takes place on Sunday, 28 June 2026 and uses trails around Edgecumbe Bay and the Cape Edgecumbe Heights Recreation Reserve.
The courses run over rocky headlands, beaches and lookouts and include stair sections, uneven single track, soft sand and technical rock sections. The longer distances include sections of coasteering along headlands. The route layout includes a few out-and-back segments and several signed lookout points.

The event provides a fully marked and marshalled course, on-course hydration and snack support (participants should bring their own bottle), first aid cover, professional electronic timing with a chip bib that competitors keep, and on-course photography. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets, a food and coffee van and a post race recovery station with fruit.
Mandatory gear for the 10 km and 18 km distances must be carried for the duration of the run and is checked at sign in. Required items include two compression bandages, a fully charged waterproof phone, a whistle and a space blanket. Minimum ages are 8 years for short distances and 11 years for longer distances.
