Rock 'N Reef Trail Run - Bowen (28 June 2026)

Rock 'N Reef Trail Run is part of the Outer Limits Trail Run Series and takes place at Case Park, Horseshoe Bay Road, Bowen, Queensland. Entry fees vary by distance and timing; listed prices range approximately from AUD 18 to AUD 65, with specific fees for 6km, 10km, 18km, and junior entries. Registration opens on 1 December 2025 and closes on 27 June 2026 or when sold out. The event uses professional electronic timing and provides a race bib plate with a timing chip that entrants keep. Race support includes marked and marshalled courses, first aid on course and at Race HQ, on-course hydration and snack support (no cups provided), post-race recovery refreshments, on-course photography, and amenities at Race HQ.

Courses, rules and safety

• 6km: Intro course with Mother Beddock, Murray Bay, WWII Lookout, Horseshoe Bay finish.
• 10km: Adds extra loops and a coasteering section along Horseshoe Bay headlands.
• 18km: Extends to Flagstaff Hill with lighthouse views and coastal rock-hopping sections.

Trails include rocky and uneven single track, stair sections, soft sand and several out-and-back segments. Minimum ages are 8 years for short distances and 11 years for longer distances. Mandatory gear for the 10km and 18km includes two compression bandages, a waterproofed charged phone, a whistle and a space blanket. Cut-off times for the 10km and 18km are to be confirmed.
