River's Edge Trail Race
The River's Edge Trail Race is scheduled for May 23, 2026, at the Katy Trailhead in San Gabriel Park, 1100 North College Street, Georgetown, TX 78626. The course runs on singletrack dirt trails that follow the banks of the San Gabriel River and link multiple parks in the historic downtown area.
Terrain mixes hard-packed singletrack, some technical sections, shaded dirt roads, crushed granite paths, and paved San Gabriel Trail connectors. The route features rolling terrain with short climbs and descents and no sustained elevation gain. Course markings include orange caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers; signs at splits indicate distance options. Markings include reflectors for low light conditions.
Trail run distances:
- 50K
- 25K
- 10 miles
- 5 miles
- Youth 1 mile
Mountain bike distances:
- 2 laps approximately 22 miles
- 1 lap approximately 11 miles
Timing uses chip timing with ankle straps issued at the venue. Pacers are not allowed. Aid stations are placed along the course; runners should be able to carry enough water for up to five miles between stations. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own cup or bottle. There is no drop bag service beyond the Race Hub. The Youth 1 mile is untimed and awards a finisher medal. Overall awards include top three male and female and top masters 50 plus per distance; e-bikes are not eligible for awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
