Course and logistics
Trail running routes use single track dirt trails that largely follow the San Gabriel River and link multiple parks, including Katy Crossing Park, San Gabriel Park, Rivery Park, Blue Hole Park, and Chataqua Park. Surfaces include hard-packed single track, some technical sections, crushed granite through San Gabriel Park, and short paved or concrete connector sections. The 50 km runs the 25 km route twice. The Youth route is an out-and-back next to the river on Katy Crossing trails. Course markings include caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers; signs indicate where distances split. The event is cupless; runners must bring a cup or bottle. Aid stations serve various distances and require participants to carry enough water for up to 5 miles between stops. Littering can lead to disqualification. Parking is available at nearby park lots. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
