River's Edge Trail Race
River's Edge Trail Race takes place May 29, 2027 in downtown Georgetown, Texas, with the race hub at the Katy Trailhead at San Gabriel Park (1100 North College Street). The course follows singletrack dirt trails along the San Gabriel River and links multiple parks in the historic downtown area.
Trails are mostly hard-packed singletrack with some technical sections, shaded dirt roads, and open fields. The terrain is rolling with short climbs and descents and no sustained elevation gain. Creek crossings are present on the course and may require wet feet; mountain bikers may need to shoulder their bikes at some crossings. The Georgetown Trails Foundation builds and maintains most of the trails used for the event.

Logistics notes: the event is cupless so participants should carry their own cup or bottle and be prepared to carry up to five miles of water between aid stations. There is no formal drop bag service beyond the race hub and personal belongings are not monitored. All entries are chip timed with ankle-mounted chips; chips must be returned if a participant leaves the course. Pacers are not allowed.
