River's Edge Trail Race - Georgetown, TX
River's Edge Trail Race is scheduled for May 23, 2026, at the Katy Trailhead at San Gabriel Park, 1100 North College Street, Georgetown, TX. The event uses single-track dirt trails that run along the San Gabriel River and link multiple parks in downtown Georgetown.
The course is primarily hard-packed single track with some technical sections, short climbs and drops, shaded dirt access roads, a crushed granite path through San Gabriel Park, and paved jogging paths that connect park segments. The route is arranged in a cloverleaf pattern with aid stations located at the cloverleaf center and at the start/finish area; a basic mid-section aid point is provided on the longer loop. Runners should be prepared to carry enough water for up to five miles between resupply points.
Course markings include orange caution tape, yellow arrow signs, and confidence markers; intersections with distance-specific turns are signed rather than color-coded. All trail running distances are chip timed; chips are worn on the ankle and must be returned if a participant leaves the course. Drop bag service is not provided beyond placement near the Race Hub and the main aid station.
The event is cupless: participants must bring a personal cup or bottle for aid stations. Littering, including discarded food peels or toilet paper, may result in disqualification. A youth 1-mile untimed run follows a short out-and-back on the Katy Crossing trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
