The River Rat Races take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Kankakee River State Park in Bourbonnais, IL. The event is organized by the Kankakee River Running Club and is listed as event number five in the club's Classic Series. Races are held on the park bike trail just west of the Rock Creek suspension bridge. Packet pickup and race-day registration are located at the shelter just east of the suspension bridge. Water will be available on course, and post-race refreshments will be provided before and during the awards ceremony. Entry for each event is listed at $20; the price increases if registering after November 8, 2025.
