Ridge Rambler Half Marathon

Event Details

The Ridge Rambler Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, starting near Twin Lakes, Bridgeport, California. Registration costs $70 per person, increasing to $80 after July 31, 2026. Participants who register after August 26, 2026, will not be guaranteed a t-shirt or medal. All proceeds from the event go to Bridgeport Elementary School.

Course Information

The race is a point-to-point half marathon. It begins on the back side of Lower Twin Lake at approximately 7,100 feet. The course runs steadily around the lake, then descends toward Buckeye Road (6,800 ft). Runners turn left onto Buckeye Road and climb a ridge, encountering rolling hills until the finish at 6,600 feet. The highest point on this section is 7,130 feet.

Logistics

Check-in is located on South Twin Road, near a large parking area (the "Lower Twin Lake Boating Site" on maps), which is about one to two miles from the starting line. Check-in opens at 6:45 AM and closes at 7:45 AM. Participants should plan to be at the check-in booth at least 15 minutes before the race start to allow time to reach the start line. From check-in, runners can take a shuttle to the start or drive their own vehicle and park alongside the road. The last shuttle leaves 15 minutes before the race start. Three aid stations with water are provided along the course. Water and snacks are available at the finish line.
