Ragnar Trail Individual South Cascades
Ragnar Trail Individual South Cascades takes place June 26-27, 2026 at Willamette Pass Resort, Crescent Lake, Oregon. The event presents trail running on mountainous terrain with views from volcanic peaks to alpine lakes and runs during prime wildflower season.
The Red Loop, called the Single Loop, climbs about 1,600 ft of singletrack to the summit of Eagle Peak. From the summit runners see Diamond Peak, Cowhorn Mountain, Mt. Yoran, and Odell Lake, then descend via a service road and the Skyliner Bike trail back to the transition area. The Single Loop distance is 6.9 miles with 1,611 ft total elevation gain.
Timed ultra options use the same loops as the relays and allow runners to complete as many laps as they can in the allotted time. The full course measures 14.7 miles with 3,280 ft total elevation gain; participants cover as many miles as they can in the 6-hour or 24-hour formats.
Ragnar Village at Willamette Pass provides camping and on-site amenities including a bonfire, music, yoga, prizes, an indoor restaurant and bar, local food vendors, indoor and portable restrooms, scenic gondola rides, and a disc golf course. Sleeping options noted include glamping sites and tent rentals. Typical weather is warm days in the mid 60s to mid 70s and cooler nights in the 50s; layers are advised.
