Camping the night before is available at no cost. Previous participants camped in tents, pickup trucks, sprinter vans, and full-size motor homes. Organizers ask prospective campers to indicate how many will attend so they can plan space.

A new feature for 2026 is a voluntary per-lap contribution. Participants are encouraged to contribute one dollar per lap they run; collected funds will be awarded to top finishers. The planned distribution is fifty percent, thirty percent, and twenty percent to the top two runners and the top female respectively. If one of the top two finishers is female, the split becomes sixty percent and forty percent to the top two.
