Preseli Beast

The Preseli Beast is a challenging 24-mile off-road and fell running race set in the scenic Preseli Hills of North Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Starting and finishing in the lively village of Maenclochog, the course features approximately 4,600 feet of ascent, including steep climbs, wooded paths, and boggy sections. Runners enjoy spectacular views over Newport Bay and traverse the Gwaun valley and the notorious Beast’s Lair. The event also offers two other distances: the 11-mile Beast Bach with 1,700 feet of climbing, and the demanding 32-mile UltrabeasT featuring about 6,000 feet of ascent. The race is well-supported with marked routes, aid stations, enthusiastic marshals, and post-race refreshments, creating a friendly and memorable atmosphere.
