The Marreg 2026
The Marreg 2026 is a long mixed‑terrain ultra run held on April 18th 2026 in Pembrokeshire. The route runs across the Preseli Hills, through ancient woodland and finishes on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at Whitesands, St David's, set entirely within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The event is presented as a point to point route starting at Foel Drygarn near Crymych.
The route distance is listed around 50–53 miles and uses a set course with compulsory checkpoints. Participants navigate using provided GPX, Ordnance Survey and Strava routes. Each runner is issued a satellite tracker for safety.
The course covers varied surfaces including rugged hill trails, woodland, sandy beaches and coastal path, with several organised aid points and public facilities along the way. Examples from the route include water only stations at about 6, 17, 40 and 46 miles; feed stations offering water, savoury food, fruit and gels near 11, 21, 31 and 43 miles; a stop at Goodwick Tesco around 24 miles; public toilets at Abercastle and Abereiddy; and a finish area with water, hot food, fruit, gels and cake. The event is an A to B format with a bus transfer to the start and a finisher medal is provided. Generous cut off times correspond to an average pace of roughly 18 minute miles, with 53 miles in 16 hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
