Pirate's Cove 6/12/24 Hour Run

The Pirate's Cove event takes place at Lake Cuyamaca, California. It features a timed endurance running format with 6-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour options. The event starts at 8 a.m.

Participants run a 2-mile loop course, described as a lollipop shape. Lake Cuyamaca is located at an elevation of nearly 5,000 feet in the Cuyamaca mountains. The venue is eight miles south of Julian.

Facilities at the lake include a restaurant open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which also offers beer and wine. There is a store for supplies and a tackle shop where participants can purchase fishing licenses, rent fishing poles, and make reservations for campsites, RV spots, or cabins. A 50K out and back trail run near Julian, CA in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. The route follows the Pacific Crest Trail, drops more than 2,000 feet into Box Canyon and returns via a more than five mile climb with a nine hour limit.
