About the race
The Ilkley Trail Race is a popular 6.9-mile multi-terrain running event held in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. The out-and-back course features 810 feet of climbing, primarily on the outward leg, and offers stunning views over the Wharfe Valley and Ilkley Moor. Runners traverse a mix of tracks, woodland, fields, moors, and some short road sections.
The race starts near Ilkley Lido, with water stations provided along the route and at the finish. Licensed by the FRA as a category CM race, it requires participants to be 18 or older and adhere to specific kit rules. Proceeds support a charity in Uganda.
