The Peacock Gap Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2025, at China Camp State Park and Harry Barbier Memorial Park in San Rafael, CA. The event offers three distances:

  • 30K - 19.5 miles, 2,735 ft elevation gain
  • Half Marathon - 13.1 miles, 1,800 ft elevation gain
  • 10K - 6.3 miles, 1,140 ft elevation gain

The event has a total capacity of 275 runners across all distances. A six-hour time limit applies to the 30K and the Half Marathon. Parking at Miwok Meadows is free; participants walk up a dirt access road to the start/finish area.

Course, support and services

Courses run mostly on dirt single-track and non-technical fire roads with a notable climb beginning about 1.5 miles in. The route passes through forests and open trails with views of Mt. Tam, San Pablo Bay, and San Francisco Bay. Courses are marked with colored ribbon and signs; blue ribbons indicate wrong-way trails.

Aid stations provide energy gels, snacks, drinks including Skratch hydration mix, basic first aid items, and seasonal fruit. No anti-inflammatory medicine is available. The event is cupless: runners must carry their own water or reusable cup; collapsible cups will be available for purchase. Drop bag service is not offered. Most race shirts are tri-blend tech tees and all finishers receive a custom medal; top three overall finishers of each distance receive trophies and age-group awards are given.
