Event Overview
The PawPals 4 Life 5k is an off-road running and walking event held at the Rock Springs Run State Reserve Trail in Sorrento, Florida. This second annual edition, themed as the Spoooky Edition, takes place on a course consisting of wilderness trails and unpaved roads. Participants may encounter various natural terrain elements such as soft sand, standing water, mud, rocks, and roots.

In accordance with local regulations, all pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet and have proof of current rabies vaccination. Registration includes general admission for the participant, one guest, and one dog. The package provides a race t-shirt for those who register by the specified deadline, a finisher medal for the human participant, and a matching medal and bandana for the registered dog. Additional dogs may be registered for a separate fee, up to a maximum of four pets per participant.
The race utilizes electronic timing and scoring with disposable chips attached to the race bibs. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in various categories, including overall male, female, and non-binary divisions for both adults and youth, as well as specific age groups and the top three finishing dogs.
