Panther Prowl 5K Fun Run

Event Overview

The Panther Prowl 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run is a trail event taking place on the campus of Northside High School in Pinetown, North Carolina. All proceeds benefit the Northside High School Track and Cross Country programs, funding equipment, travel, and training for student-athletes.

Course and Events

The run takes place on a scenic, well-marked trail described as mostly flat with a few gentle rolling hills. The event offers two distances:

• 5K
• 1 Mile Fun Run - described as a non-competitive, family-focused event.

Participant Information

Professional race timing is provided by Run The East, LLC. Awards are given in multiple categories. For the 5K, medals are awarded to the top three men and women overall, as well as to the top three men and women in several age divisions (10 & under, 11–15, 16–20, 21–30, 31–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60+). For the 1-Mile Fun Run, medals are awarded to the top three men and women overall.

Participants who register by January 1st are guaranteed a race T-shirt.

Location and Registration

The event is located at Northside High School, 7868 Free Union Church Road, Pinetown, NC. The registration fee for the 5K is $30 until January 1st, and $40 from January 2nd until the event date. The fee for the 1-Mile Fun Run is $25 until January 1st, and $35 from January 2nd onwards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
