Paddy Buckley Recce Fun Run - Glyderau
This event is a recce of the Paddy Buckley route from Llanberis to the Ogwen Valley over the Glyders, held in the Snowdonia National Park near Capel Curig in North Wales. The session focuses on the Llanberis to Ogwen Valley leg of the Paddy Buckley Round and the lines runners can take on this section.
The leg covered by the event is 15 km with 1,830 m of height gain. Participants run in small groups so that route choices and technical sections can be managed and discussed on the ground. Guides are experienced runners with Mountain Leader qualifications as a minimum and have completed the Paddy Buckley Round; they provide route knowledge, advice and guidance to help develop technical ability and confidence.
The event is organized by Adventure Awaits. Entries open on 17 September 2025 and close on 26 March 2026. The minimum age for entry is 18 and the stated entry fee is £65.
