Oxbow Trail Runs : April 26, 2026

The Oxbow Trail Runs takes place at Oxbow Regional Park, Metro, just outside Gresham on the Sandy River, about 30 minutes from downtown Portland. Distances offered:

  • 10k
  • Half Marathon

Registration opens January 1 via UltraSignup and the race is limited to 150 total runners. Entry fees: 5k $60 (rises to $70 on April 1) with a reduced youth price of $25; 10k $75 (rises to $85 on April 1); Half Marathon $90 (rises to $100 on April 1). No refunds. USA Track and Field sanctions the event.

Courses and logistics

All races start and finish at the Alder Picnic Area. Each race is cupless. The 10k and Half have aid stations providing water and Honey Stinger electrolytes for refilling handhelds; the Half and 10k aid stations are located near the two-mile turnaround and at the nine-mile point on the Half. The Half Marathon consists of two 10k loops plus an extra mile on river and Ancient Forest trails and lists total elevation of 1560 feet.

The Alder Picnic Area is reserved for participants and guests; ETA catering provides post-race sandwiches for participants and offers additional food for purchase. Parking is $5 per car (included for registrants by April 13); buses pay $7. Camping is available in the park. Pets, alcohol, smoking, and vaping are not allowed. Cell service in the park is minimal. Trail runs nearby

Run among waterfalls and the dramatic Columbia River Gorge with 30K, 50K and 100K trail options from April 10 to 12, 2026. Expect marked courses, aid stations, camping nearby and a classic Pacific Northwest trail experience.

Firelane Trail Trial is a time trial out and back on Firelane 1 in Forest Park featuring a steep climb and technical trail sections. Field capped at 144 with a post race gathering at Great Notion Brewing.

Wood You Rather at Mt Tabor Park is a two hour checkpoint run where you pick your own trail route from a map to visit as many checkpoints as possible. Expect 5 to 8 miles and a Wood You Rather mug plus coffee and donuts at the finish.

Take on Forest Park's Stumptown Trail Runs over Memorial Day weekend with a challenging 50K or hilly half through lush singletrack and big elevation gain. Small fields, scenic trails, postrace food, and a souvenir pint glass for finishers.
