The 5k is described as kid friendly and stays relatively flat for a trail course. The 10k follows the 5k route for the first mile then climbs to Alder Ridge and includes an out-and-back section along an equestrian trail with a short steep climb and technical descent. The Half Marathon is made up of two 10k loops plus an extra mile on river and forest trails; total elevation is listed as 1560 ft. All races are cupless.

Aid and facilities are limited to specified stations: the 10k and Half have water and Honey Stinger electrolyte refills at key turnaround points. The Alder Picnic Area is reserved for participants and guests for the day; ETA will provide sandwiches for participants. Parking at the park is subject to a per vehicle fee at the entry booth. Pets and alcohol are not allowed in the park. The race is limited to 150 total runners, is USA Track and Field sanctioned, and uses a no refunds policy.
