Course and race logistics

All start and finish locations are at the Alder Picnic Area near the Sandy River. Each race is cupless. The 5k runs through the Ancient Forest, climbs a gravel road, then follows the river to the finish. The 10k climbs Alder Ridge, circles Elk Meadow, includes a 300-foot climb in about half a mile, and returns via river trails. The Half Marathon repeats the 10k loop with added river and forest mileage. Aid stations for the 10k and Half provide water and Honey Stinger electrolyte options at designated turnaround points. The Alder Picnic Area is reserved for participants; ETA catering provides post-race food. Parking in the park carries a fee; buses pay a higher fee. Pets, alcohol, and smoking or vaping are not allowed in the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
