OUTLAST PADRE ISLAND

OUTLAST Padre Island is a six hour trail endurance challenge held in Corpus Christi, Texas at 20420 Park Rd 22. The format requires participants to complete a 5K lap every hour, on the hour; each lap must be finished within that hour to remain in the event. Runners who finish a lap early may rest until the next round, while missing a lap ends participation.

The course is trail based with natural terrain such as dirt, sand, rocks, roots, and elevation changes; some sections may include pavement or gravel. Each 5K is timed individually and a combined time for all six laps is used for local results and national ranking. Walking is allowed provided the lap is completed within the hour.

Basic aid is available at the basecamp or loop start, offering water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so participants must bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up a tent or personal aid station at the venue. Recommended gear includes trail shoes, layered clothing, and fuel between laps.

Recognition is awarded by laps completed: four laps earn a bronze leather patch, five laps earn a silver leather patch, and six laps earn a premium wooden OUTLAST medal. All participants receive an OUTLAST tee and sticker. Top finishers are added to a national leaderboard, and event winners qualify for championship opportunities and cash prizes.
