OUTLAST INDIANAPOLIS

OUTLAST INDIANAPOLIS is a trail endurance event held in Columbus, IN (3989 S 525 E). The format offers two timed challenges in which participants run a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each 5K lap must be completed within the hour to remain in the event; finishing early allows rest until the next start, while missing a lap ends that participant's effort.

Available event distances:

• 6 Hour Challenge: 18 Miles
• Outlast ULTRA 12 Hour Challenge: 36 Miles

Courses are trail based and include natural terrain, elevation, and unpredictable conditions. Some sections may include pavement or gravel. Aid is provided at the basecamp/loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so participants are expected to use their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up a tent or personal aid station at basecamp.

Awards and recognition follow lap completion milestones: a 4-lap patch, a 5-lap patch, a premium 6-inch OUTLAST medal for six laps, and a premium 12-inch medal for twelve laps. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Top male and female finishers by combined 5K time at each event receive a 1st Place OUTLAST award. Finishers are ranked on a national leaderboard; the fastest across all OUTLAST 6-hour events receives a $1,000 national prize. The top five male and female 6-hour champions from each city qualify for the Outlast Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027, where Championship prize money is awarded for the top three places.
