Otter Creek Trail Festival at Harmon Lake
Otter Creek Trail Festival is a two-day trail running and mountain bike event at Harmon Lake Recreation Area near Mandan, North Dakota, held on June 12 and 13, 2026. The program includes organized mountain bike races and trail run loops, along with camping, food, and family activities at the recreation area.
Distances offered include:
- Mountain bike: 55 miles Expert, 35 miles Sport, 35 miles E-Bike, 13 miles Beginner
- Trail run: short loop about 3 to 4 miles, long loop about 12 to 13 miles
Mountain bike courses start with an approximate 4 mile lead-in and a short lap of about 12 miles. The 55 mile event follows the lead-in, then three laps that include the Harmon Lake trail system; laps 2 and 3 are each about 19 miles. Named trail sections include Tight & Twisty, Chutes & Ladders, Fast & Flowy, the Epic Loop and Blue Sky Trail. The 35 mile Sport and E-Bike courses use the same lead-in and short lap and then include additional Harmon Lake trails. The 13 mile Beginner route follows the short Epic Loop and passes an aid station around mile 9.
Registration for the mountain bike events includes an event t-shirt and a post-race meal and beverage. The mountain bike races carry a total cash payout of $4,200, allocated equally for men and women. The event is hosted by 701 Cycle & Sport.
