On the Move for Men's Health 5k and 4-Hour Endurance Challenge takes place on November 16, 2025, at Ballard Nature Center in Altamont, Illinois (5253 US Hwy 40). The event aims to raise awareness for men’s health and prostate cancer prevention. It includes three event options: the 5K Trail Run/Walk, the 4-Hour Endurance Challenge, and the Oscar Mike RUCK SACK 4 Hour Challenge. All participants receive a finisher medal and there are awards for top finishers and age-group categories.
Course and competition
The course is a wooded 5K trail loop with rolling hills and winding paths. The 4-Hour Endurance Challenge asks participants to complete as many 5K laps as possible within the four-hour time limit; a Trail Village area is available for rest and refueling. Weighted vests and ruck sacks are allowed in the Oscar Mike challenge and other weighted categories; weight is recorded at weigh-in and must remain the same for the event. The Iron Ruck award is given to the participant who carries over 40 lbs (male) or over 25 lbs (female) and completes the most laps.
