Ollie's Ultra
Ollie's Ultra is an endurance event held at Santa Fe Park in Chanute, Kansas. The course is run on a soft chat trail at the site of the old Safari Golf Course and uses a USATF certified 2.022 mile loop. Custom awards are given to the top three in each division. The 48, 24, 12 and 6 hour categories are eligible for state records.
Distances offered include:
- 48 hours
- 36 hours
- 24 hours
- 12 hours
- 6 hours
- 3 hours
Runners complete repeated full loops; only full loops are counted for distance and official results. GPS devices may read approximately 2.08 miles per loop, but the certified loop distance is 2.022 miles. Loops completed after the event cutoff times will not count. In the event of a tie, the time when an entrant completed their last full loop will be used as the tiebreaker.
A fully staffed aid station is located at the base camp just past the start and finish area. The aid station offers snacks, hot food options, water and Tailwind. There is space near the aid station for personal tents and camping, and RV campsites are available nearby. Pacers are allowed after 12 hours with one pacer on course per entrant at a time; pacer bibs cost $5. Registration includes a t shirt and a finisher award; hoodies are available for purchase. Deferrals are valid for one year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
