Course and rules
Runners complete repeated full loops on a soft chat trail at the site of the old Safari Golf Course. Each loop is 2.022 miles. Only full loops are counted, and loops completed after the event cutoff will not count. A fully staffed aid station is located at the base camp just past the start/finish area with snacks, hot foods, water, and Tailwind. There is space for tents north of the aid station and nearby RV campsites.
Runners must complete the course without pacing assistance on the course; crew access is at the base station only. Official timing is used and runners must check out if they withdraw. The course is run counterclockwise, allows two abreast, and course cutting leads to disqualification. Reflective tape will mark the course after dark. Headlamps or lights are required for 24- and 12-hour participants. No strollers, dogs, or bikes are allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
