Event Details
Ollie's Ultra is a timed endurance event hosted at Santa Fe Park in Chanute, Kansas. It is a USATF certified course run on a soft chat trail at the old Safari Golf Course.
Course Format
Participants run a certified 2.022-mile loop for their selected time duration. Distances are based on full loops only; loops completed after strict cutoff times are not counted. The race runs counter-clockwise.
Distances and Start Times
The event offers multiple timed races across two days:
- 48-hour race starting Friday at 8:00 AM.
- 36-hour race starting Friday at 8:00 AM.
- 24-hour race starting Friday at 8:00 AM.
- 12-hour race starting Friday at 8:00 AM.
- 6-hour race starting Friday at 9:00 AM.
- 24-hour race starting Saturday at 8:00 AM.
- 12-hour race starting Saturday at 8:00 AM.
- 6-hour race starting Saturday at 9:00 AM.
- 3-hour race starting Saturday at 9:00 AM.
The 48, 36, 24, and 12-hour events are state record eligible.
Aid and Facilities
A fully stocked, manned aid station is located at the base camp just past the start/finish line. It offers a variety of snacks, hot foods, water, and Tailwind. Participants are encouraged to carry their own water bottle. There is space to set up personal tents or a camp in the area of the aid station, and RV campsites are nearby.
Rules and Requirements
Runners must complete the course on their own and carry their own nutrition; no muling from pacers is allowed. Pacers are permitted after 12 hours, with one pacer per entrant allowed on the course at a time. Headlamps or lights are required for all 48, 36, 24, and 12-hour runners for after dark. No strollers, dogs, or bikes are allowed on the course.
Registration Includes
Registration includes a t-shirt and a finisher's award. A hoodie can be purchased at an extra cost. Custom awards are given for the top three in each division. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
