Ollie's Ultra is an endurance running event held at Santa Fe Park in Chanute, KS (208 35 Pkwy). The event offers timed formats:

• 24 hour
• 12 hour
• 9 hour
• 6 hour
• 3 hour

A 4-hour relay format is also offered. The course is USATF certified and the 24-, 12- and 6-hour performances are eligible for state records. Runners complete a 2.022 mile loop on a soft chat trail at the old Safari Golf Course. Only full loops are counted, and the time of the last completed full loop is used to break ties.

Course, aid and rules

A manned base aid station is located just past the start/finish area. The aid station provides snacks, hot food, water and Tailwind. Participants are encouraged to carry their own water bottle or pack. There is space for personal tents near the aid station and RV campsites nearby.

The event uses official timing. Runners must complete the course without pacing assistance away from the base station; crew access is available only at the base station. The course is run counter clockwise and generally allows two abreast. Course cutting results in disqualification. Reflective tape will mark the course after dark. Headlamps or lights are required for all 24- and 12-hour participants. Strollers, dogs and bikes are not allowed on the course.

Awards and entry

Registration includes a t-shirt and a finisher award. Top male and female finishers in each format receive awards. Distance finisher awards are given for exceeding specific race distances, with medals for 10k, half marathon and marathon, and buckles for 50k, 50 mile, 100k and 100 mile.
