NSCCL round 2 - Stafford Common
The North Staffs Cross Country League holds its second round at Stafford Common on 17 Oct 2026. The league runs four traditional cross country races across North Staffordshire and South Cheshire, with scoring based on finishing position in both team and individual competitions.
Entry is restricted to first claim members of affiliated clubs; guest runners are not permitted. Club members must wear club colours when competing.
Team scoring and structure vary by age group. For under 11s, 13s, 15s and 17s three scores count for each team. Senior Division 1 requires six male scores and four female scores to count; Division 2 requires four scores for both men and women. Veteran categories use either six or four counting scores depending on age band. For senior men and women the league is split into two divisions with promotion and relegation of the top two and bottom two teams.
Age categories are calculated from date of birth and assigned according to age on 31st August. For under 11s, athletes must be at least nine on race day. Individual scoring uses all four races for seniors and the best three of four for age groups under 17.
Distances
- Seniors (17+): male 8000m, female 5000m
- Under 17s: male 5000m, female 4500m
- Under 15s: male 4500m, female 3500m
- Under 13s: male 3500m, female 2000m
- Under 11s (9+): male 2000m, female 2000m
