Northern Trails

Event details

The Northern Trails Trail Race is an early spring trail event on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Greensboro, North Carolina. The race starts and finishes at Northern Guilford High School, 7101 Spencer Dixon Rd., Greensboro, NC 27455. The course uses trails along Lake Brandt and Lake Townsend.

Distances offered:

• 5 Mile
• 10 Mile
• 17 Mile

The event includes corresponding ruck categories for the same distances, economy registration options, and virtual race options (including virtual 17 mile, virtual 10 mile, and a virtual 5 miler). Aid stations are provided along the course.

Registration and services

Regular, economy, and virtual registrations include a custom race shirt and a finisher medal. The finisher medal is the second medal in the North Carolina Trail Mega Medal Series; the series medals connect to form a larger medal. Timing is chip-based with live results and course splits. Live tracking is available through the RaceJoy app. Registration also includes race photos, post-race food and beverages, and points toward Trivium series and club championships.

Refund and transfer rules: no refunds within 30 days of the event; requests earlier than 30 days may receive a 50% refund of the entry fee (processing fees excluded). Entries can be transferred to another individual for a $5 fee. Entries cannot be deferred to another event or year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
