North Bay Road Race

Event overview

The North Bay Road Race is a road and trail running event in North Bay, Northern Ontario, scheduled for September 2026. Distances offered include:

• 5k
• 10k
• 21.1 km (half marathon)
• 1-mile Kid’s race (free for kids)

The Kid’s race is presented by North Bay Physiotherapy.

Courses and logistics

All race courses are out-and-back routes that use Memorial Drive and the Kate Pace Way multi-use pathway along the Lake Nipissing waterfront. The 5k course starts on Memorial Drive, follows the waterfront and connects to the Kate Pace Way for about 0.5 km to the turnaround. The 10k continues along the paved Kate Pace Way and follows a flatter route after a recent course change. The half marathon follows the Kate Pace Way onto Booth Road and Birchs Road, with the final section returning toward Callander; the revised half marathon course is described as 100% paved and flatter.

Parking is organized with Memorial zones open and Oak Street used for overflow. Aid stations are provided on course.

Charity and partners

The event supports YMCA North Bay through the Fill The Bus campaign. A portion of each registration is donated to send local children to camp, and every registration includes an automatic donation.
