Norm's Helium Loops is a looped mountain running event held in Salcombe Regis (1st Sid Vale Scouts, EX10 0NY). The event uses a maximum running window of 12 hours. Format and practical details
Participants complete as many loops as they can within the event time. Distances used for official categories are:
- 4 loops - half marathon distance with 1,000 m height gain
- 8 loops - marathon distance
- 18 loops - 100 km
The event includes a fully marked course and an indoor event headquarters with toilets, showers and refreshments. First aid cover is provided. All participants receive a Norm’s Helium Loops memento. There is a prize for the overall winner (male and female). Camping on Saturday night is available on request.
