Noche Trail Runs
Noche Trail Runs is an evening trail event held at South Llano River State Park in Junction, Texas. The event offers multiple distances over rocky wide trails and single-track routes entirely within the park. The terrain is hilly, with about 1000 ft of elevation gain per loop, and historic average temperatures range from 72 to 93 degrees.
Distances offered include:
- 5k
- 13 miles
- 27 miles
- 40 miles
- 13 mile ruck
Organizers require a headlamp for all distances and a water carrying system; a 32 oz capacity is stated as required. The event is a no-cup race so participants must carry a personal drinking container. Aid stations are placed on course and provide hot and cold foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice and ice. Notable aid points include a main aid station with road and crew access and drop bag support, plus water-only and hydration stations without road access at specified mile markers.
Camping is available near the start area; park campgrounds are about three minutes from the start and list restrooms and showers. Awards include a tri-blend event shirt, finisher medals, and trophies for top finishers; the 40 mile distance has a distinct bronze finisher medal and a last place trophy. The event is part of the Texas Summer Night Series with series pass options available through June 3, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
