Noche Trail Runs is an evening trail running event held at South Llano River State Park near Junction, Texas. The course uses trails inside the park and runs at night under natural conditions.
Distances offered include:
- 40 Miler
- 27 Miler
- 13 MILER RUCK
- Half Marathon
- 5K
The route features wide rocky sections and single-track trails. Terrain is hilly, with about 1000 ft elevation gain per loop. Historic average temperatures for the event period are reported between 68 and 96 degrees. The course is fully marked and supported with aid stations that provide food and hydration. Ruck division equipment rules are specified: 150 lbs = 30 lb ruck or >150 lbs = 20 lb ruck. A ruck sack or vest is allowed. A pacer is permitted on the last lap of the 40 Miler.
Race gear and awards include a soft shirt, collectible finisher medals for all finishers, a special bronze 40 Mile finisher medal, first-place awards for men and women in each distance, a DFL award for the 40 Mile, and a 13 Mile Ruck patch.
