The 6 mile course begins in the opposite direction, goes down a service road through the horse camp onto multi‑purpose trails, includes three prominent climbs and flat sections, completes a 4 mile loop, then follows the 2 mile Woodland Trail loop back to the finish. Race lengths are approximately 2 miles and 6 miles. State park entry permits are required, pets are not allowed, headphones are permitted but runners must remain aware of surroundings, and there is a points series with age divisions and awards.
