Course and logistics

The course begins at a family farm that connects to the Cheatham Wildlife Games Reserve, a park described as about 20,000 acres with steep trails and ridge-line views. Terrain includes a mixture of rugged jeep roads and single-track through technical sections. Course composition by distance is given as: 50K roughly half trail and half jeep/gravel roads (this percentage may change), 25K about 65% trail, and 12K about 75% trail.

Aid stations are located roughly every 5 to 6 miles and provide water, Gatorade, and snacks. Cut-off rules include a 10-mile aid station cut-off at 3 hours 20 minutes, a 20-mile aid station cut-off at 6.5 hours, and an overall 9-hour finish requirement for all runners. Awards are 1st to 3rd place male and female for all distances, and all finishers receive an award. Adult entries include a finisher cup (for finishers), race entry, snacks, water and Gatorade, a pint of Jackalope Brew, and awards. Pizza and beer are listed as food options.
