Mozo Double Up

Mozo Double Up is a biannual mountain trail race scheduled tentatively for August 16, 2026. The course is roughly ~11 miles with about ~5,000' vertical gain, beginning at the base of Stowe Mountain Resort and following a sequence of named trails including Haselton, South Link, Forehead Bypass, Long Trail, Maple Ridge, Sunset Ridge, Subway, Canyon North Extension, Rimrock and Perry Merrill before returning to the base.

The terrain is technical and exposed, with steep climbs and descents, rocky and rooty tread, and areas of high alpine tundra. Runners must remain on trail at all times to protect fragile vegetation; off trail movement may result in disqualification and loss of refund. Hiking poles are permitted but must be carried at all times. Music of any kind is not allowed. The course will be marked and racers are advised that sections are remote and not accessible by motorized vehicle. Competitors should carry a cell phone in their pack and call 9-1-1 if injured or lost.

Field size is limited to 70 racers. Entrants must provide a recent qualifier time from a half-marathon, marathon or ultra within the past two years or submit route tracking verification. Suggested qualifying times include men half-marathon 1:45 and full marathon 3:30, women half-marathon 2:00 and full marathon 4:00. Registration fee for the 2026 race is $105 with registration closing August 14. A rain date is set for August 23. Refunds are 50% until June 30 and none after that.
