Mount Robson Marathon

The Mount Robson Marathon is a grassroots, community oriented event held on the Berg Lake Trail in Mount Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia. After devastating floods in 2021 that affected the park and the trail, the event returns to run sections of the Berg Lake Trail. Runners start at the Mount Robson Welcome Centre and follow the Robson River. All races use out and back routes and have water and aid stations along the way.

The event offers multiple distances:

  • Ultra Marathon : full Berg Lake Trail to just past Berg Lake
  • Half Marathon : mostly well groomed double-track past Kinney Lake
  • Kinney Lake 12 km : turnaround at the outflow bridge
  • Flatlander 5 km : mostly flat open road with a short gentle incline
  • Kids Fun Run : free around the Mount Robson Info Centre

The Ultra Marathon includes 825 m of elevation gain, with most gain in a 5 km stretch called the Valley of a Thousand Falls. Routes pass through several environmental zones and use maintained trail surfaces in varying terrain. Registration opens January 31 according to organizer information. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
