Mount Robson Marathon
The Mount Robson Marathon takes place on the Berg Lake Trail inside Mount Robson Provincial Park in British Columbia. The event is organized with a community focus and uses the Berg Lake hiking corridor.
All runs start at the Mount Robson Welcome Centre and follow the Berg Lake Trail up the Robson River. Routes are out and back and include water and aid stations along the way. The Ultra Marathon follows the entire Berg Lake Trail with its turnaround just past the shores of Berg Lake. Runners on the Ultra gain a total of 825 m elevation, with most of that gain in a 5 km section called the Valley of a Thousand Falls.
The Half Marathon proceeds on a mostly well groomed double track past Kinney Lake to a turnaround on the Kinney Lake gravel flats. The Kinney Lake 12 km run turns at the outflow bridge at Kinney Lake. The Flatlander 5 km runs mainly on flat open road with a short wide gently inclining trail section at the start of the Berg Lake Trail.
A free Kids Fun Run is held around the Mount Robson Info Centre. After floods in 2021 affected the park and trail, the event returns to the Berg Lake Trail. Registration opens on January 31 on the event website.
