Mount Robson Marathon

Event overview

The Mount Robson Marathon takes place on September 12, 2026, in Mount Robson Provincial Park, Fraser-Fort George, British Columbia, Canada. The event is a grassroots, community-oriented trail race hosted on the Berg Lake Trail. After floods affected the park and trail in 2021, the race will again use the Berg Lake Trail corridor.

Course details and logistics

All runs start at the Mount Robson Welcome Centre and follow the Berg Lake Trail along the Robson River. Each race is an out-and-back route with water and aid stations along the course. The Ultra Marathon follows the entire Berg Lake Trail to a turnaround just past the shores of Berg Lake and includes 825 m of elevation gain, with most of that gain in a 5 km section known as the Valley of a Thousand Falls. The Half Marathon follows mostly well groomed double-track trail past Kinney Lake to a turnaround on the Kinney Lake gravel flats. The Kinney Lake 12 km route turns at the outflow bridge at Kinney Lake. The Flatlander 5 km is mostly flat open road with a short section of wide, gently inclining trail at the trailhead.
