Mount Robson Marathon

The Mount Robson Marathon takes place on September 12, 2026 in Mount Robson Provincial Park on the Berg Lake Trail. The event is organized as a grassroots, community oriented trail running event.

The event offers these distances:

• Ultra Marathon follows the full Berg Lake Trail.
• Half Marathon to the Kinney Lake gravel flats.
• Kinney Lake 12 km turnaround at the Kinney Lake outflow bridge.
• Flatlander 5 km mostly flat open road with a short incline at the start.

All runs begin at the Mount Robson Welcome Centre and follow the Robson River on out-and-back routes. Water and aid stations are provided along the course. The Ultra Marathon passes through several environmental zones and turns around just past the shores of Berg Lake. Runners in the Ultra gain 825 m of elevation, with most of that gain occurring in a 5 km section called the Valley of a Thousand Falls. The Half Marathon follows a mostly well groomed double-track trail past Kinney Lake to its turnaround on the gravel flats. The Flatlander 5 km is mainly on open road with a short section of wide, gently inclining trail at the Berg Lake Trail start.
