Midwest OCR Obstacle Course Race

Midwest OCR is an obstacle course racing event held at The Cliffs Insane Terrain Off-Road Park in Marseilles, Illinois. The course features a rugged landscape consisting of hills, cliffs, ravines, creeks, and wooded trails. The event is organized by veteran-owned Race Ready Obstacles and offers several participation categories based on distance and level of competition.

Participants can choose from the following event options:

• 10K Elite / Competitive: A 6.2-mile course with over 30 obstacles. This division requires mandatory obstacle completion for those seeking podium spots, though multiple attempts are permitted.
• The Bearded Challenge: A multi-lap event where participants attempt to complete three laps of the 10K loop.
• 5K / 10K Fun Run: Non-competitive options covering either 3.1 miles with 20+ obstacles or 6.2 miles with 30+ obstacles. Obstacles are optional in these waves, and teamwork is encouraged.
• 5K / 10K Ruck: A low-impact category based on military training where participants carry a weighted rucksack. Participants provide their own gear, with recommended weights of 20 lbs for women and 30 lbs for men.
• Kid's Course: A 1/4 to 1/2-mile loop with over 10 obstacles designed for children ages 11 and under.

Registered participants receive a finisher's shirt and medal. Ruck participants also earn a specific ruck patch, while multi-lap finishers receive additional medal pieces for their extra laps. General parking is located off-site at a nearby campground with a shuttle service provided, while limited VIP parking is available on-site for a fee.
