Merbabu Sky Run

Merbabu Trail Run - September 05-06, 2026

Merbabu Trail Run is a two day mountain trail event held on Gunung Merbabu in Central Java, with venue and related areas on Jl. Raya Salatiga Magelang, Ngablak, Magelang. The route reaches mountain terrain around 3,145 m and includes sustained climbs and technical sections.

The course runs across volcanic ground, open savana, narrow ridgelines and rocky technical sections. Participants can expect rapid weather changes and long technical ascents or descents; route examples reference efforts up to 60 km as part of the challenge. The organizer emphasizes discipline, mental control and endurance as core values for participation.

Event materials provided include a race guide, rules and regulation, full course maps with elevation profiles, a rundown, accommodation and shuttle information, waiver details and medical certificate requirements.
