McCoy Strong Challenge
The McCoy Strong Challenge is a community fundraising event held at the Shoppes at Fourth and Cherry in Ocilla, GA. The event benefits a local family during a child's fight against brain cancer and uses proceeds from registrations, sponsorships, donations, and event activities to help with medical expenses and ongoing needs.
The event offers multiple obstacle-course distances:
- 5K: Approximately 3.1 miles with about 20 obstacles.
- Strong Mile: Approximately 1 mile with 10 obstacles.
- Lil McCoy Strong Kids Course: Approximately 1/4 mile with five kid-friendly obstacles for ages 12 and under.
Awards are presented to first, second, and third place male and female finishers in both the 5K and the Strong Mile. Every child who completes the kids course receives a finisher medal.
Additional event elements include sponsor booths, food, and a silent auction. Free parking will be available. All participants must complete a waiver before participating; participants under 18 require a parent or legal guardian to sign the waiver.
