Mayhem Night Trail

Mayhem Night Trail is a night trail running event on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Fort McDowell, Arizona. The event offers three distances that follow the park's competitive track trails with winding single track and short but steep climbs and drops.

Distances:

  • 25K
  • 10 Mile
  • 5 Mile

Courses remain on the competitive track and share sections with the McDowell Mountain Frenzy day race held the same day. Aid support includes one full remote aid station (Gate Aid) and a water-only station passed each loop. Aid station supplies list water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, peanut butter and jelly, bean rollups, and hot food such as quesadillas and grilled cheese.

Crews are allowed only at the start/finish area. Pacers are not permitted for any distance. A designated area at the start/finish will hold runners' drop bags for easy access. Courses are marked with orange plastic ribbons with black polka dots, reflective medallions, laminated signs for turns, and blue and white checkerboard flagging for wrong-way trails. MedStar Solutions medical staff will be based at the start/finish to provide first aid and make medical decisions on participant safety.

The event is part of the Insomniac Night Series and the Fall Sunset Series. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable and closes Monday, November 30, 2026. Park entry fees apply per vehicle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
