The Marathon International du Beaujolais returns for its 22nd edition in November 2026. This sporting event takes participants through the landscapes of the Beaujolais region, featuring vineyards, villages, and castles. Participation Requirements
Timed races are open to licensed and non-licensed runners meeting the minimum age requirements. Participants in the marathon and longer trails must be born in 2007 or earlier. For the semi-marathon, the minimum birth year is 2009. Adult participants not holding a French athletics license (FFA) are required to complete a Parcours Prévention Santé (PPS) online within three months of the race.
Services and Amenities
Registrations for timed races include a race bib, timing chip, finisher medal, and access to refreshments approximately every 5 km. Marathon participants benefit from pace markers and a shuttle service from Villefranche-sur-Saône to the start line in Fleurie. A bag drop service is provided for the marathon, semi-marathon, and 13 km races.
