Trail Running in the Mont-Blanc Massif

The Marathon du Mont-Blanc is a trail running event held in the Chamonix Valley, organized by the Club des Sports de Chamonix. The event takes place over several days in June and attracts approximately 10,000 runners who compete on the mountain paths of the Mont-Blanc massif.

The event offers a wide range of distances and formats to accommodate different types of trail runners:

  • 90km du Mont-Blanc
  • 42km du Mont-Blanc
  • 23km du Mont-Blanc
  • 10km du Mont-Blanc
  • Duo Étoilé (night race for teams of two)
  • KM Vertical
  • The Young Race (specifically for young athletes)
  • Mini Cross (distances for children: 800m, 2km, and 3km)

Participants can visit the Trail Camp, which serves as an event salon at the Place du Mont-Blanc in Chamonix. Bib collection is organized by appointment at the Salle EMC2. While most competitive races require advance registration and often reach full capacity, the Mini Cross remains open for younger participants. The event center is located in Chamonix, with starts and finishes distributed across locations such as the Place du Triangle de l'Amitié, the Aire des parapentes, and Planpraz.
