Mangerton is a mountain running event held in County Kerry on Sunday 24th May 2026. The course covers 9.60 km with approximately 700 m of climb. The route is described as open mountain with rough terrain.
The event carries an IMRA difficulty rating of 9 (3,3,3) indicating difficult terrain and significant ascent. The route is not marked and the use of GPS is allowed. The race forms part of the Munster Championship league.
Mandatory kit is Level C - Advanced. Required items listed for the race include a waterproof jacket with integrated hood and taped seams, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, foil blanket or bivvy bag, waterproof full leg cover, means to carry at least 500 mL of water, emergency food, map of the route or area, and a compass. The exact kit to carry on the day will be finalised depending on conditions and will be advised at registration. All runners must carry the required equipment; failure to have the required items may result in denial of entry or disqualification and random kit checks may be carried out.
