Course format, services and awards

All races start and finish on the Thames Path next to the Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club. Routes are out-and-back, lapped courses along the river Thames. The marathon comprises five 5.27-mile sections to Old Windsor Lock and back. The half and 10 km combine shorter out/back loops toward Staines Bridge with longer out/back sections to Old Windsor Lock. Distances allow for GPS variances.

Turnaround points are fully marked and marshalled. There are well stocked checkpoints at the start/finish and at Old Windsor Lock. Timing is by professional chip timing, bespoke Magna Carta medals are awarded, and podium awards are given for 1st–3rd male and female finishers.
