BEACHRUNS at Mission Beach is a beach running event held on 19 July 2026 in Mission Beach, Tropical North Queensland, Australia. The course runs along the greater Mission Beach coastline, covering South Mission Beach, Wongaling Beach and Mission Beach on sand with ocean views of Dunk Island. The start and finish base for 2026 will be in north Mission Beach with specific location details to be advised.
Distances offered
- 21 km half-marathon (min age 15). $45 registration.
- 10 km (min age 13). $45 registration.
- 5 km (min age 12). $35 registration.
- 1 km children’s dash (5 to 12 year-olds, parental supervision). No pre-registration required.
- 12 km team relay, run as four 3 km legs (teams of two to four, min age 10). $96 per team.
Age groups include Open (18 to 49), Masters (50+), Youth (13 to 17) and Children (5 to 12). Team entries use a captain code system where the captain registers first and distributes a code to team members.
Prizes are awarded to the overall first, second and third male and female finishers for each distance and to winning relay teams, with perpetual trophies for relay winners. Food and refreshments will be available at the event. Online registration is required and closes at 5pm on Friday 17 July 2026.
