Lüneburger Ultra-Marathon

The 5th Lüneburg Heath Relay Race and Ultra-Marathon on June 1, 2024, covers 100 km with 10 stages through the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park. The route passes through heath, moor, and forest areas and connects cities and villages of the region. The race starts and finishes on the Sülzwiesen near the center and has been officially measured by the DLV (German Athletics Association). The goal is to highlight the uniqueness of the region as a cultural landscape and to raise awareness for nature conservation and environmental protection.
