About the race
The SkyRace Gorges du Tarn is one of the races of the Lozère Trail weekend taking place 15 and 16 May 2027. It is organised by the Association Salta Bartas based in Chanac and runs in the Gorges du Tarn within the Massif Central.
The race is described as technical and very varied, with repeated climbs and descents across rocky, stony trails. The course distance is 25 km with about 1900 m+ of elevation gain. The start and finish are in Sainte Enimie town centre. Participation is limited to 500 runners and registration is available only online; on the day registrations are not accepted.
Practical details include bib pick up at the parking de la Gravière in Sainte Enimie on the Friday late afternoon and the Saturday morning before the race. A local meal at the Salle des fêtes of Sainte Enimie is included after the finish.
Mandatory equipment listed by the organisers includes a chip bib, at least 0.5 L of water and energy reserve, a personal drinking container, suitable clothing, a charged mobile phone, waterproof jacket with hood, whistle and a full survival blanket. Trekking poles are allowed if carried by the runner for the entire race and not abandoned at aid stations.
