Louisville Trail Race

The Louisville Trail Race is an annual running event held in Louisville, Colorado. Now in its 13th year, the race takes place at Louisville Community Park and utilizes the local trail networks against the backdrop of the Flatirons and front range mountains.

The event offers three distinct distances:

  • Half-Marathon (13.1 miles)
  • 10 KM (6.3 miles)
  • 5 KM (3.2 miles)

The courses consist primarily of dirt terrain, with the Half-Marathon featuring a mix of 90% dirt and 10% bike path, while the 10 KM and 5 KM routes are 100% dirt. All three distances are designed as out-and-back courses. The terrain is mostly flat, though participants encounter specific elevation changes. The Half-Marathon includes 501 feet of total elevation gain with notable climbs at miles 5.3 and 11.5. The 10 KM gain is 285 feet, and the 5 KM gain is 193 feet.

Aid stations are positioned along the routes, ranging from two stations for the 5 KM to five stations for the Half-Marathon. While crews are permitted to support participants at the finish line, pacers are not allowed for any distance. The event includes a dedicated area at the start and finish for personal drop bags. Limited parking is available on-site at the park, with additional parking on surrounding streets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
