Lonely Mountain Ultra
The Lonely Mountain Ultra is a multi-distance trail and ultra running event held on Gaanha-bula Mount Canobolas, just outside Orange NSW. The 2026 edition is scheduled for Saturday 26th September 2026 and is staged within the Canobolas State Forest and surrounding paddocks.
The event offers a range of distances to suit different race plans:

- Kids 4K
- Kids 2K
Courses follow fire trails, woodland tracks and open pasture, with significant climbing to nearly 1400 metres and wide views across the NSW Central West. Race editions have included photography and published results from previous years, and the event program has run over multiple days in past editions.
The organising committee acknowledges and pays respect to the Wiradjuri people, the traditional owners of the land where the event takes place, and notes the importance of treating the land with respect.
