Livingston Oval Ultra

The Livingston Oval Ultra is a timed-lap running event held at the Oval on Robert Harp Drive in Livingston, NJ. It is the third annual edition and includes a new 12 hour distance for 2026. The course is USATF certified as of August 1, 2023 and is described as fast and flat.

Races ask participants to complete as many laps of the Oval as possible within the allotted time. Distances offered:

  • 12 hour event
  • 6 hour event
  • 3 hour event
  • 1 hour event

Top three male and female performances in each race receive a custom wall plaque. All participants receive a race hat new for 2026; a discount code NOSWAG is provided for a $25 reduction if a hat is not wanted. Aid station items include standard ultra fare and some additional provisions from sponsors, and athletes are stated to be never more than half a mile from help. Race bibs must be worn on the front.

The Oval is a public space and the event was approved by the local town council in June 2023; littering may result in disqualification. Athletes may reserve a 12 foot by 12 foot gazebo space for tents, chairs and coolers and are responsible for cleaning their site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
