About the race
The Livingston Oval Ultra takes place in Livingston, NJ on March 6, 2027. In its fourth year, the event is a timed loop format held on the Oval at Robert Harp Drive and offers multiple race durations: 12 hour, 6 hour, 3 hour, and 1 hour.
The course is USATF certified as of August 1, 2023 and is described as fast and flat. The event previously hosted a Canadian national record in 2026. Top three male and female finishers in each race receive a custom wall plaque, and participants are provided with either a running-style ball cap or a winter knit hat; there is an option to decline the hat for a $20 credit using code NOSWAG.
Aid station provisions include standard ultra race food plus additional items supplied by sponsors, and athletes are never more than half a mile from assistance. Race bibs must be worn on the front of the runner. The Gazebo Field allows a 12' x 12' space for tents, chairs, and coolers; athletes are responsible for cleaning their site. Because the Oval is public property, littering may result in disqualification. The event received approval from the Livingston Town Council in June 2023.
