The Livingston Oval Ultra is the fourth annual timed loop event held at the Oval on Robert Harp Drive in Livingston, NJ. Runners compete to cover as much distance as possible within set time limits on a closed loop course.

The course is USATF certified as of Aug. 1, 2023 and is described as fast and flat. Average temperature range for the date is given as 50° / 29°F. The event hosted a Canadian national record in 2026; organizers ask to be informed in advance of any record attempts for certification purposes.

Top three male and female performances in each race receive a custom wall plaque. Participants receive a running style ball cap or a winter knit hat; a $20 discount is available for those who decline the hat using a provided code. Aid stations offer standard ultra fare and additional items from sponsors, and athletes are never more than half a mile from assistance. Race bibs must be worn on the front of the runner.

The event was approved by the Livingston Town Council in June 2023. Gazebo field space is allocated for participants in 12' x 12' areas and athletes are responsible for cleaning their sites. A repeat-loop trail race at Tatum Park in Middletown, NJ offering 1-lap, 30 km, and 50 km options with one main aid station and RFID lap timing. Proceeds support MissionCleanWater's clean water programs.

A free trail 5K in Shirley Chisholm State Park in Brooklyn on June 7, 2026, organized by Black Men Run NYC. Registration is free with an optional $25 singlet fee and runs March 31 to June 4, 2026.
