Lake Vyrnwy 10k

The Lake Vyrnwy 10k is a trail and multiterrain running event held on private land at the Lake Vyrnwy estate in Llanwddyn on 21 June 2026. The course is listed as approximately 10k and brings together participants with a range of motives, including fitness, competition, charity and recreation.

The route runs around parts of the estate and includes footpaths, grassed sections, stoney stretches and short lengths of tarmac. The course features climbs and fast downhill sections and passes viewpoints overlooking the lake. The exact route is not published because the event takes place on private land. Finishers receive a medal. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male runners.

Race headquarters, start and finish are on private estate land; full instructions and postcodes are emailed to entrants before the event. Parking is a short walk from the start and is priced at £3 per car payable in cash on arrival; event signage will be in place on the day. The parking area is on private estate land and runners are asked to be respectful. The minimum age for entry to the 10k is 16 years. Organiser provisions include a help desk, music at the event arena and two water stations on the 10k route near 4k and 6.7k plus water at the start and finish; runners are encouraged to bring a suitable bottle.
